Tiny Tigers
-our philosophy is that a child s development of core reaction in life are created, we need to be careful what we program into them, if we program our children to face adversity by striking out, then we are doing a disservice. Old Training paradigm was: problem, reaction , solution…strike your attacker” This is wrong. We are programming them to lash out during adversity, there is a proven better way. We teach this method.
I invite you, and your young ones to come train in MMA. In this ground-breaking instructional method, we will take your child step by step, through the exact process that ensure their safety, between the ages of 4 -14, so you can prepare your child for life – in a positive environment and in the safest way possible. Our class give a “game like” approach to learning MMA. Through the use of physical games known as “Randori training” This keeps it fun and exciting while we learn. “I teach this improved system. All of my students know we are not fighters, we are protectors. We either come from love or fear.”
Bully proof systems.
According to the National Education Association, 160,000 kids miss school every day in the U.S. just to avoid a bully.
According to the U.S. Secret Service, the majority of school shootings have been linked to cases of excessive bullying. We have an understanding that most schools have a NO-striking policy. That means, if your child strikes another child, either out of anger, or self-defense, they can, and will be, expelled from the school. We simply cannot have our kids striking in school, not when there is a proven better way. I teach this improved system. All of my students know we are not fighters, we are protectors. We either come from love or fear.
The core curriculum stems around protecting yourself from strikes, immobilizing your attacker and holding him down until they agree to stop. Later, once they have gained the ability to do this, they learn strikes, and have much more control using this, as they know they can handle themselves without striking.
Your child will learn the definitive rules regarding the use of their techniques as well as the Verbal Jiu-Jitsu strategies that will enable them to take a stand against persistent verbal bullies. By introducing your child to the Rules of Engagement before they learn the Jr. Combative techniques, you will ensure that they do not abuse their power, and you will give them the confidence that they will not be reprimanded in the event that they ever have to use the techniques in self-defense.
Mark Hibler begin teaching this particular system 4 yrs ago, the 33 highly-effective non-violent techniques featured in the Jr. Combative course. By teaching these techniques to your child, you will dramatically increase their ability to defend themselves and, more importantly, boost their confidence so dramatically, that they are less likely to be targeted by bullies.

Bully beliefs
Tiger MMA is bringing back the spirit and leadership skills found in the traditional martial arts. Leadership qualities such as, eye contact, listening and being kind. These skills are most important to develop well balanced leaders.
Another thing that separates Tiger MMA is that we are trained to handle different levels of aggression by bullies…
Bullies do things to us for different reasons and that’s why we have different approaches to handling them in an appropriate fashion. Most schools have a zero tolerance policy, that means that should your child strike anyone, even in self defense, they are to be expelled. in all instances it is important to let friends and family know what is going on.
1) The Snarky bully-
He makes comments intended to be little you, so that he may feel a sense of power and control , that he feels a lack in his own life. We handle these guys with humor, frame control, and body language. In class we drill practical examples…
2) The Social bully-
He makes comments intended to “raise his value” to his friends. They tend to say things when others can hear. Although this sometimes hurts us the most, there is a slick way to handle these guys. We handle these guys by getting the “friends ”on our side. That way if he continues he loses that “value.”
3) The Tactical bully-
sometimes there are those bully’s who are just “rough and tumble” kids, that only react to tactical stimuli and enjoy exerting their will against others, who are less concerned with “peer approval” than there own sense of personal power over us.
We handle these bully’s with the ability to simply no allow them to exert there will against us. Sometimes to call them out will do one of two things.
1) he must admit he doesn’t want trouble.
2) you must prove physically that you don’t have to strike him, however his will dose not set the agenda.
“You needed to stop. Are you trying to fight me, im not afraid of you”
*Strong eye contact.
3 T’s (Talk, Tell, andTeach)
1 Talk to the bully using some of the above
2 Tell a teacher and your family
3 Teach the bully you are not to be messed with…
Parents….knowing this game plan a child (provided they do all of those steps)should not be reprimanded or punished(or fear)for protecting themselves these are useful, however make and set your own rules.
By using the techniques taught at Tiger MMA, one dose not have to strike someone in order to defend themselves.
Once a certain level of proficiency is felt by your child, they have the confidence to handle the situations appropriately with the correct level of force.
